Jasmine Pearls (500gm) • Fragrant China Green Tea

Tightly rolled pearls of spring grown green teas are introduced to the most fragrant of Guanxi’s prized autumnal jasmine flowers. The scenting process is repeated a number of times until the desired intensity of fragrance is achieved. The resulting tea is subtly scented, aromatic and perfumed. To enjoy the awakening of the leaves, we recommend a glass vessel. Alternatively, place the pearls directly into your glass. The leaves may be used more than once.

This famous style of green tea hails from Fujian Province in China. During production finely plucked tea leaves, hand rolled into a pearl shape are intentionally placed next to fragrant jasmine flowers. The pale-yellow liquor that results have the delicate aroma and sweet flavour of jasmine. Witness this perfumed garden unfurl majestically before your eyes. Infuse six "pearls" per 100 mls in just boiled water for at least four minutes. This tea is best seen in a vessel of heat-proof glass. The leaves may be used more than once

Jasmine Pearl green tea is a completely handcrafted, premium quality green tea, that is not only an absolutely fantastic drink, but also a striking visual performance to watch brew. The production of Jasmine Pearl Green Tea is a long and slow process. Premium quality tea buds and leaves are carefully picked in spring, dried and then stored and kept cool until the Jasmine flowers are in bloom, later in summer. The night blooming Jasmine flowers are picked early each morning while the petals are still closed and are being kept cool during the day; in the early evening the flowers begin opening with a popping sound, indicating they are ready to be mixed in with the dried tea. After about 5 hours the flowers are removed and the tea carefully dried. This scenting process is then repeated with fresh flowers a total of 7 times. 1 lb of finished Jasmine Pearl tea will use about 4 lbs of Jasmine flowers during this arduous process. The end result is an absolutely amazing tea.
